The NULL ZONE

that little hub of activity that begins at the corner of Fry Street and Hickory and extends all the way out to the Square and a little beyond to Rubber Gloves. Basically, the intellectual, spiritual, and artistic mind, soul, and body of Denton, TX.

How to Get Here

Even if you know how to find the cross streets and actually show up at one of the bars or coffee houses, that does not mean that you are "here." To-get-here, let go of some expectations you are carrying about 1) the need to be productive/successful and 2) what genres of music, art, and poetry are the "best".

The Synarchy of the Null Zone is best stated as "eclectic."

Get the Map

Maps of the NULL ZONE can be found in the palms of those who have lived here for a decade or more. You can find approximations of these maps in Burrough's "Interzone" and Keruacs "Dharma Bums." Or you might find the map in a bent spoon or on a mirror. Keep looking but don't over-does it.
